Hope everyone had a wonderful Memorial Day! Would like to say "thank you" to all soldiers for protecting us. I love this mirror and probably would love it even more if I had a normal camera. This is my sweet friends house, who by the way is very talented. Besides being one of the nicest people I've met.

Doctor's Medical Bag

This is an early 1900 doctor's medical bag. When doctors made house calls they would mix the patients medical right there. It still closes and locks complete. The glass tubes are in a holder that have 12 on each side containing chemicals like Tinct. Opii, Liquid Potassium, Aetheris Nitos,Chlordyne, Ipcac, Salol, Tannin, Zic, Sulphur, Potassium Iodine, which I have no clue what most of them are. Still totally unusual. Underneath the glass tubes I found to pieces of paper. One was a list of people that had to columns (married, single) and the other was the contract for the employees of G.W. W.L. Lott Ginnery and Real Estate in The New Coffee County Town, Georgia August 5, 1911. This contract is agreement that each month the employees pay $1.00 for services rendered by Dr. Sapp which includes medicine but not "Obstetrical cases" or "Major Surgery" such as amputations etc. This said Dr. Sapp agrees to make 2 or 3 visits per week and oftener if neccessary. I didn't realize (oftener) was a word. On the other side of the doctors bag is very small glass tubes containing different medicines and a small box from Lee's Pharmacy Albany, Georgia

The beginning of many medical supplies that were retrieved from the attic. On this shelf the antique white enamel slop jar with handle and lid. The enamel tray for medical tools also has a lid. A bakelite All Transistor radio with ear plug, 3 mirrored dental tools, glass syringes, glass test tubes, and a few medical tools I have no idea what they were used for and probably don't want to know.The whole lot 27 items $48.00
